㈜다이나릿시스템, ㈜엔타시스, 서울대 통합설계및병렬처리연구실, 그리고 서울대 실시간운영체제연구실은 2007년9월20일 서울 삼성동 코엑스 컨퍼런스센터에서 산업자원부의 시스템반도체기술개발사업 과제인 시스템IC2010 2단계사업중에서 'SoC설계 및 검증 환경 개발'과제를 수행하면서 개발한 SoC개발환경을 발표한다.
반도체 칩의 집적도가 높아지고 성능이 증가함에 따라 기존의주문형반도체 (ASIC: Application Specific Integrated Circuit)에 적용되던 설계방법론으로는 감당하기 어려운 상황이 되었다.
이러한 한계를 극복하기위한 방법으로 하드웨어와 소프트웨어가 공존하는 시스템집적반도체(SoC: System-on-a-Chip)가 유일한 대안으로 인식되고 있고, 이는 설계자산(IP: Intellectual Property) 재사용과 하드웨어-소프트웨어 동시설계 (Hardware-Software Co-development) 그리고 시스템수준설계(System-Level Design) 등 새로운 설계방법론이 지원되어야 가능하다.
이에 지난 4년간 산업자원부의 지원을 받아 ㈜다이나릿시스템을 주관으로 ㈜엔타시스, 서울대 통합설계및병렬처리연구실, 서울대 실시간운영체제연구실에서 SoC 설계 및 검증환경을 개발하였다.
이번 발표회에서는 SoC 설계를 시스템 수준 상위 단계에서 Task기반으로 기술로부터 시작하여 성능예측, 하드웨어 소프트웨어 자동분할, 가상(Virtual)프로토타이핑 환경에서의 시뮬레이션, Gerneric RTOS 및 타겟 RTOS와 연동 및 시뮬레이션, 하드웨어에 의한 가속, 하드웨어 에뮬레이션, 초기 단계부터의 전력소모 예측 등 개발된 다양한 기술을 소개할 예정이다.

오는 9월 17일 대전 카이스트내 IDEC센터에서 Dynalith Systems의 OpenIDEA를 이용한 교육 프로그램이 예정되어있다.
본 강좌에서는 OpenRISC를 이용한 임베디드 시스템 설계 및 검증 과정을 다룬다.
OpenRISC 기반의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 설계와 순수 소프트웨어 시뮬레이션에서부터 다양한 조합의 하드웨어-소프트웨어 통합시뮬레이션 그리고 FPGA 프로토타입까지의 과정을 배우고, (주)다이나릿 시스템의 OpenIDEA와 iCITE 보드를 활용해 실제 예제를 통해 실습해 본다.

The main theme of the seminar is about host interface technology from Dynalith Systems.
The technology enables the programs running on the host computer to utilize FPGA. In this seminar, the background of why new verification approach is necessary, the unified verification environment where FPGA is used as a part of simulator, and the host interface technology of Dynalith Systems are addressed.
